Sugar on my soul

Sugar on my soul

It has a thousand soft breezes confusing my hair
Dark forests illumined by one particular star
When I dream I embroider the surfaces of vast cakes
Curlicued with supernal whipp’d creams

My boots are soft red leather, my hands rip lamé
Chiffon from my breasts, I  have kissed no other
Memory than this hummingbird water
Sweetening the heart in one surge of desire.
