The Unflowering Sun

The Unflowering Sun

Marvels at its own raptures and disappointments
Clouds are astute little wanderers stroking its face
But the sun does not notice their ministrations.

It is burdened by time, a flagrant star!
It does not see the good it may still do
So blinded by its  own mirrored flares
And yellow funerary silks.
