A single stitch- is it enough?
Red thread on white fright
Stop it coming, yesterday into today
Shut a door with a foot in it
Shove and bump and hear a shout
Even a cobweb floating
Is jumpy, even a pin
Can make a bead of blood
Flowerhead, seedhead, stitchhead
Motorhead, the people sway

He is become invisible
She is a ghost
This never happened
Sew a shadow to a foot

It is no velvet glove
Get over it
They say.
