For Carla.
On this dark morning, the candle bears a small witness
Ministering to the indifferent day
She is near the place of everyday arrivals.
But such alchemy of blood and bone,!
An endless opening of dreams!
Soon she will be at finality. fine shoots of light scatter
Stars drop from pockets, shivers and the resurrection
Of all astonishment.
That awaited shout at bright harsh lights
Wet, cold, hot,milk-hungry, dry!
Time disassembles everywhere
The diamond ring around the moon
The silver shuddering of the earth
Sudden tides and flowerings
Shifting in her greengrey eyes –
She only knows this moment
Here comes my child.
